Husband and wife team Chris and Andrea Mullieneux are passionate about the Swartland and about making wine.
Theirs is a family run boutique winery producing a small range of elegant wines made from grape varieties best suited to the Swartland.

A natural, minimalist approach is followed in the vineyards and cellar.
They have put together a group vineyards in what they consider to be the most interesting parts of the Swartland, which are mostly found around the shale and schist based Riebeek Kasteel Mountain, and the granite based Paardeberg mountain.
The vineyards are planted with grape varieties (which are mostly Mediterranean in origin) that are ideally suited to the environment, and are farmed sustainably and in harmony with their surroundings.
In the cellar, apart from minimal amounts of sulphur, nothing is added to, or removed from the wines and no use is made of any yeasts, acids, tannins, enzymes, or fining and filtering agents.

Mullineux Family Wines aim to bottle wines that are a true expression of the Swartland. All steps of the winemaking process are taken with this aim in mind, and the highest possible attention to detail is payed in everything they do.

Visit their cellar in Short Street Riebeek Kasteel and buy the wines from the Wine Kollektive across the street.
