"Greenacres-Garagista" comprise a number of individuals that are passionate about wine-making. We have a small and somewhat rustic cellar at Houdconstant Farm in Porterville. This historic farm is adjacent to the town of Porterville and is the only property that connects Porterville to the Mountains of Grootwinterhoek Wilderness Nature Reserve (UNESCO World Heritage site).

Houdconstant produce a variety of wine grapes on about 17 Hectares for the local wine Co-operative. Under the watchful eyes of the owners, Fan and Philippa Olivier, in the 2006 harvest we banded together a group of enthusiasts and made our maiden red and white vintages, a Robust Cabernet Sauvignion, a Fruity Merlot and a Tropical Chenin Blanc. This tradition continued in 2007 when we were joined by Hanro Knoetzen, a well-known winegrape grower in Portervile, in the making of a spectacular Chenin Blanc 2007

We welcome any wine enthusiast to join our band during harvest time, to pick-crush-stomp-make-drink their own uniquely had-crafted wine. We share expenses and everybody contributes to a fun-filled and thrilling
experience.
