AnnexKloof Wines is a family concern that goes back four generations – the first vineyards were planted in 1907 and the first wine made in 1910. These initial cultivars – Semillon and Frans – were delivered to Hopefield Farmers, the KWV and, later, Swartland Cooperative. Since 2005 the family has been making their own wine.

AnnexKloof wines are known for their dark, intense colours, good tannin structure and ripe fruit flavours; they age well in oak barrels. The wooded Malbec won the 2006 Champion Wine Trophy for the Swartland.

The family is involved in every step of the wine-making process, from vine-cutting all the way through to putting the bottles on the shelf. And during harvest season, visitors are invited to take part.

Accommodation is offered in well-equipped chalets. There are four dams for swimming and fishing, a 4X4 route and a game camp.
